Free Events for Unpaid Carers in Bexley (see posters below)

To recognise the vital role of unpaid carers, three free events are taking place across Bexley in June 2026.

Kicking off National Carers Week (8–14 June), the first event will be held on Monday 8 June, 10am–2pm at the Bexley Holiday Inn. Now in its fifth year, this popular event – organised by the Bexley Carers Partnership (Local Authority, NHS and local charities) – continues to grow, regularly attracting over 100 carers.

The day will include information and advice from local organisations, alongside practical sessions on topics such as mental health, stress, direct payments and nutrition. Carers will also be able to enjoy a free buffet lunch, refreshments, a gift bag, and activities including massage, reiki, sound baths, gentle exercise and a singing group. It also offers valuable time to connect with other carers in a relaxed setting.

Two further events follow:

  • Tuesday 16 June, 9.30am–12.30pm – Danson Youth Centre (no booking is required)
Bexley Voice’s SEND Summer Marketplace (drop-in). A chance to explore support and summer activities for those caring for someone with SEND, with free wellbeing activities available.
  • Tuesday 30 June – Belvedere Gurdwara
A carers event featuring support organisations, wellbeing activities such as Tai Chi, yoga and sound baths, and the opportunity to share a communal langar meal.

All unpaid carers are welcome.
